Vitamin C Powder Facial Scrub

To clear, clean and brighten your complexion…

I’ve used vitamin C powder as a facial (and neck) scrub for years. I started noticing that many of the expensive, top of the line facial serums and scrubs all contained vitamin C.  Then, I found a book on making your own beauty products from ingredients we have at home or can easily find. Sadly, I don’t recall the name of that book or the author BUT, what I can share with you is this:

Vitamin C powder makes an incredibly effective and affordable facial scrub. I feel comfortable recommending it for all skin types. If you have acne or rosacea, you may want to mix the powder with honey and make a mask instead of a scrub.

Vitamin C powder, sometimes called buffered C, is readily available at most health food stores or online. Vitamin C, along with many other health benefits, supports healthy growth and repair of tissue, is a powerful antioxidant (anti-aging) and helps with the production of collagen. This is such a worthwhile investment – when you’re not using it to enhance your complexion, you can add it to water or green juices if you are feeling run down / trying to out run a cold, for women with I.C. (and you know who you are) or frequent U.T.I.’s it stops them in their tracks. Vitamin C (buffered or ester) powder belongs in your medicine cabinet and your beauty routine.

Glowing Skin Starts Here:

Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and pat dry. Place 1-2 tsp of vitamin C powder in the palm of your hand and add a few drops of water. Mix to a paste. Massage very gently into your face and neck avoiding your eyes area. Rinse with warm water and glow! Use 1X per week as a part of your regular beauty routine or to get your complexion looking bright and clear before a night out.
